The school first opened in December 2009, in Peru’s northern beach of Pimentel, situated in Chiclayo – Lambayeque, under the initiative of Pablo Doig. Both founder and director, Pablo is also a nationally known surfer, local northern champion at beaches such as Pimentel and Faro of Pacasmayo, member of the Peruvian Surfing Selection and currently competes in national circuits. He began teaching 5 students the basics, helping them experiment with free and competitive surfing, and they learned to push their limits with confidence; always respecting the ocean and its strength.

Today, Tubos Surf School offers high quality services in both Pimentel and Lima, where well prepared and confident instructors ensure students comprehensive learning. We also have excellent equipment: soft boards that convey confidence to those students who are just beginning to surf. All boards are in perfect condition, and we have an assortment of sizes to suit each student’s needs. Additionally, the support of numerous sponsors means we can offer students attractive discounts and other benefits as they acquire their own equipment, putting in practice what they are learning.

Peru is rich in waves; with one of the most constant coastlines in the world. Fortunately, this allows us to fully embrace surfing and take advantage of the treasures that Mother Nature provides: waves and tubos.
